Herbert Loontwill is the husband of Leticia Loontwill, father of Evylin and Felicity Loontwill, and stepfather of Alexia Tarabotti Maccon.

Squire Loontwill sits passively in most conversations unless called upon his wife to make a comment. When Alexia and Lord Maccon are caught in a scandalous display, Squire Loontwill considers how he might challenge a werewolf in order to make him marry his step-daughter. Such a challenge is unnecessary, since Lord Maccon willingly wants to marry Alexia.
