Judgment Day, aka Judd, is an enforcer in the San Andreas Shifters pack. He is the oldest member of the pack although we don't find out until the third book exactly how old.

In Enforcer Enigma it's revealed that he is, in fact, and Old One - made werewolf Pre Saturation.

Appearance[]

Judd is six feet and four inches tall and even more muscled than Biff. He has curly black hair that he keeps short and dark brown skin and eyes. Judd’s werewolf form is large and black with bright yellow eyes.

“Judd was a sexy-as-sin black man, packing more muscles then Kev, with a smile less open, and the cross-armed stance of the innately suspicious.” (Max’s description in The Sumage Solution Chapter 14)

Personality[]

He's friendly and chatty. Likes to tease the other members of his pack, especially Lovejoy. Occasionally he will pull rank and he can get bossy. He co-runs Heavy Lifting with Kevin (security-meets-muscles-meets-private-investigators firm). For bodyguard operations, he is usually in charge.

He's a bit arrogant, proud of his physical abilities and accustomed to being able to charm or fight his way out of most situations. Be he also knows what it's like to be alone so he's fiercely loyal and protective.

Will stand up too and tease his Alpha. In Sumage Solution (Chapter Four) he says, "Dating advice on human women from a gay werewolf. You should write a book, Alpha."

He hates country music.

History[]

Judd had previously been a loner without a pack, but when he learned of Alec's pack's open acceptance of LGBTQ+ he joined them. He occasionally hung out with the boys' previous pack, the Boston Red Paws which is where he first met Colin.

“Judd hadn’t come from their original pack. He’d been a friendly loner, living upstate, who paid his respects by occasionally joining them for a run. When he found out Alec was gay and starting a queer-werewolf West Coast revolution, he’d privately petitioned the new Alpha to join. What was said remained private, but Alec had welcomed him warmly.” (The Sumage Solution Chapter 10)

Born early 1860s London dockside, Judd's parents died before he knew anything of his heritage. As a child was recruited by a werewolf named Phineas to act as a spy in London in 1870s and after. He eventually followed his mentor to Scotland in the 1890s where he became a claviger to a pack there. He survived metamorphosis bite from Alpha Kingair around 1900 probably because he had African shifter genetics. Spent time in Scotland as a pup acclimatizing to werewolf life, before WW1.

After Super Saturation and the fallout, Judd fled to New World where he lived as a fur trapper and loner or sometime pack member in Canada and traveling around the USA.

In the Books[]

The Sumage Solution[]

Judd is one of the new pack members that came out with Alec to the west coast. Has a gig as a bouncer in this book.

The Omega Objection[]

Judd is with Tank trying to protect Isaac at the hotel, he is in wolf form. He busts in on Isaac's hotel room and knows enough about Omega's to realize what Isaac is.

The Enforcer Enigma[]

We learn a great deal more about Judd's history and about how old he is. He offers to be someone Colin can experiment with, sexually, even if it meant that it was a temporary arrangement. They work closely together as Colin stumbles across the Pinniped Syndicate in town threatening a local barista (Trick) and Heavy Lifting gets a gig doing security for country star Lexi Blanc.

Quotes[]

  • "When he found out Alec was gay and starting a queer-werewolf West Coast revolution, he'd privately petitioned the new Alpha to join. What was said remained private, but Alec had welcomed him warmly. Biff had to admit Judd fit in remarkably well." (The Sumage Solution, Chapter Ten)
  • "Certainly better than your craptastic handwriting.' 'I was taught by lady spies. What do you expect?" (The Enforcer Enigma, Chapter Five)
  • "He'd been very fit and very strong when he took the bite. Back then, it was thought a man had to be as physically powerful as possible to survive metamorphosis. They didn't know about the triple helix or recessive genes or shifter sequencing. Judd had trained for years, ran the highlands for hours, helped local farmers with their harvest, lugged boulders for stonemasons." (The Enforcer Enigma, Chapter Six)
  • "Judd had been made wolf during a time and in a place when touch was sacrosanct. It was touch that kept him trying with each new pack. That glorious feeling of fur and fur, skin and skin. Not sexual, just togetherness." (The Enforcer Enigma, Chapter Nine)
